This programme will suit students who are or who wish to work in the computing industry. Computers are fundamental to many industries and you will develop skills in many fields.

Modules include: Business Skills for e-Commerce, Computer Systems, Database Concepts, Employability and Professional Development, Website Design, Systems Analysis, Event Driven Programming Solutions, Research Skills and Design and Database Design Concepts. 

Entry Requirements

80 UCAS tariff points from A Levels or Level 3 equivalent qualifications. Five GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Maths.

Career Prospects

The recognised progression route is the BA (Hons) in Computing and Information Systems.

Graduates have employment prospects in ICT related disciplines, for example: software engineers, software developers, information managers, website designers and technical support.

Two years. The HND award comprises the first two years of the BSc Information Systems Engineering qualification.

You will have to complete written assignments as you progress through the programme.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is ‘a method of assessment that considers whether an individual can demonstrate that they can meet the assessment requirements for a unit through knowledge, understanding or skills that they already possess and do not need to develop through a course of learning’. If individuals can produce relevant evidence, that fully meets learning outcome requirements then RPL can be given for their existing knowledge, understanding or skills.
