The course offers a broad based introduction to those with an interest in Agriculture and who wish to gain a good basic grounding in the local industry before progressing to higher level study. Learners will study a range of modules in Livestock Production, Grassland and Crop Production and Machinery Maintenance and Operation. Learners will achieve the City and Guilds Level 2 Workbased Diploma in Agriculture, the City and Guilds Level 2 College Diploma in Agriculture and Essential Skills Wales at Levels 1 or 2 in ICT, Communications and Application of Number.

Learners will also have the opportunity to achieve a range of industry Certificates of Competence.
 

Entry Requirements

The course is available to anyone with an interest in Agriculture and is dependent on a successful interview. It is advisable to have at least grades D in GCSE Maths and English / Welsh.

Career Prospects

Successful completion of the course will allow you to work in a range of Landbased production roles or to proceed to Level 3 studies as above.
