This programme is for students that want to learn how to use up-to-date information technology and contemporary management practices associated with managing people and projects.

Modules in year one include: Business: Past, Present and Future, Business Communication Skills for Marketing, Economics, Professional Development in Computing: Information Engineering, Web Technologies and Computer Systems.

In year two: Business Law, Engaging and Leading people, Advertising and Branding, Responsible Computing, Group Project Design, Human Computer relationship.

In year three: Strategic Thinking, Strategic Marketing, IT Project Management, 21st Century Computing and Dissertation.

Entry Requirements

Entry criteria detail a typical offer but the College considers all applications on an individual basis which means that we could make offers based on qualifications, personal profile and experience. If you have any queries regarding your offer please contact our Admissions Team.

Typical offer: 3 A Levels at C grade or MMM profile from a BTEC Level 3 qualification and five GCSEs at Grade C or above, to include English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications

You may be able to demonstrate or have certificated prior learning that can be legitimately used to establish a later entry point into the course or provide exemption from modules. If you believe this is the case please contact the Course leader as soon as possible to discuss a recognition of prior learning application.

Career Prospects

You may progress to a postgraduate business related programme.

Graduates have employment prospects in a wide range of business and IT disciplines, for example: business management, consultancy, accountancy, consumer research, statistical analysis, marketing, website development and business systems analysis.

The programme will include lectures. In year 3 a major project is required. You will usually have to complete portfolios, presentations and written assignments as you progress, and normally sit exams at the end of each academic year.
