This programme will suit students who wish to develop the knowledge and understanding of the modern business environment.

Modules include: Academic and Professional Development, Entrepreneurship and Business Start-up, Work and Organisational Behaviour, Economics, Law and Regulation, Foundations in Marketing and The Management of Financial Information.

Entry Requirements

Entry criteria detail a typical offer but the College considers all applications on an individual basis which means that we could make offers based on qualifications, personal profile and experience. If you have any queries regarding your offer please contact our Admissions Team.

Typical offer: 2 A Levels at D grade or MP/PPP profile from a BTEC Level 3 qualification and three GCSEs at Grade C or above, to include English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications).

You may be able to demonstrate or have certificated prior learning that can be legitimately used to establish a later entry point into the course or provide exemption from modules. If you believe this is the case please contact the Course leader as soon as possible to discuss a recognition of prior learning application.

Career Prospects

The recognised progression route for this course is the BA (Hons) Business Studies - top up degree.

Graduates have employment prospects in a wide range of business disciplines, for example: business management, consultancy, accountancy, consumer research, statistical analysis, marketing and retail management.

This programme is awarded by the University of South Wales.


The programme will include lectures, seminars, practical and supervised workshop sessions and tutorial. You will usually have to complete portfolios, presentations and written assignments as you progress, and normally sit exams at the end of each academic year.

You are required to provide sufficient stationery for to support your teaching and learning. Printing charges are 0.02p per black and white A4 and 0.06p for a colour A4.
