BA (Hons) Business Studies - Top up Degree

This programme builds upon the business awareness acquired at levels 4 and 5 to further develop skills, attitudes and behaviours required in a modern business environment.

Modules include Business Strategy, International Business, Business Communications, Ethics and Sustainability: Theory and Practice, Accounting Theory and Practice and Business Research Project.

This programme can be studied full-time or part-time.

Entry Requirements

Entry onto top up courses is through the successful completion of the HND or Foundation Degree (FD) in Business Studies.

If you hold a HND or FD in another subject area, entry onto the course is determined by the modules you have achieved.

You may be able to demonstrate or have certificated prior learning that can be legitimately used to establish a later entry point into the course or provide exemption from modules. If you believe this is the case please contact the Course leader as soon as possible to discuss a recognition of prior learning application.

Career Prospects

You may progress to a variety of postgraduate business related courses.

Graduates have employment prospects in a wide range of business disciplines, for example: business management, consultancy, accountancy, consumer research, statistical analysis, marketing and retail management.

Assessment

The programme will usually include lectures, seminars and workshop sessions. You will usually have to complete presentations, written assignments and classroom tests as you progress through the programme. One module requires an exam.

You are required to provide sufficient stationery for to support your teaching and learning. Printing charges are 0.02p per black and white A4 and 0.06p for a colour A4.
