BSc (Hons) Construction Management

This programme prepares learners for the management of construction projects of all sizes. It readies you to take on responsibilities of client management to satisfy employers that projects are completed to schedule and to the specified standard and budget.

Modules include: Construction technology, development management, planning and building control, construction and site management, construction materials, renewable energy, inter-professional studies, project management, health and safety management and a dissertation.

Entry Requirements

Entry is directly into Level 5 for applicants with a HNC in Construction and Built Environment or equivalent qualifications with an acceptable unit combination.

You may be able to demonstrate or have certificated prior learning that can be legitimately used to establish a later entry point into the course or provide exemption from modules. If you believe this is the case please contact the Course leader as soon as possible to discuss a recognition of prior learning application.

Career Prospects

Graduates have a range of employment prospects in a wide range of Construction disciplines, for example: Project Manager, Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor or Construction Manager.

This programme will include lectures and practical workshop sessions. You will usually have to complete coursework and phase tests as you progress and normally sit exams at the end of the academic year.

You are required to provide sufficient stationery for to support your teaching and learning. Printing charges are 0.02p per black and white A4 and 0.06p for a colour A4. On enrolment you are allocated 3.00 for printing costs on your student ID card. Additional credits can be purchased in the libraries
